How much room is needed around a pool table for proper layout?
Am space planning a room and need to figure out how many feet I need beyond the table so the pool cues dont hit the wall.
Thanks!

at least 3 but you can buy cut off cues if you need them for tough shot to close to wall.
Recommended space around the pool table is 5ft, but here is link that might help you. http://www.ahpo…
If you need room to sit and stand, You need a minimum of 3' per side. I'd double that just to be sure.
Add ten feet to the dimensions of your pool table. For example if your table is 4' x 8' then the minimum size room would be 14' x 18' . This gives you 5 feet of room all the way around the table which is enough room to shoot any shot with a standard size 58'' pool cue. Of course a bigger room would mean more comfort but this is the minimum. Good luck to ya!
